Activity #6: Marshmallows and toothpicks

Description: Build shapes and 3D shapes out of toothpicks and marshmallows. We also did some pretend play by roasting the marshmallows over a toothpick fire, and delivering toothpick lumber in the back of toy dump truck.
Age: 3 and up
Purpose: Fine Motor:
Shapes and 3D shapes,
Creativity,
Pretend play.
Prep time: minimal if you have what you need What you’ll need: Toothpicks and marshmallows
Fun Factor: you can’t go wrong by doing an activity where you can eat part of it. I didn’t intend on this being a pretend play activity, but that was as big a part of it as the building.
